Fate/Grand Order (フェイト/グランドオーダー, Feito/Gurando Ōdā?) is a Fate series mobile gacha RPG for Android and IOS, developed by LASENGLE (formerly DELiGHTWORKS), published by Aniplex and licensed by TYPE-MOON. Originally released in Japan in 2015, it was a reboot of the Fate/Apocrypha project that had previously been canceled prior to 2011. The game reached China in 2016 and the United States in 2017. The same year, it became the sixth highest-grossing mobile game. The game is a turn-based RPG with visual novel style story segments, bringing together the casts of the various Fate series works, other TYPE-MOON works, and many original characters with a cast of over 400 playable Servant units. Most units are drawn from a weighted lottery with in-game currency and microtransactions. The game's story has been adapted in several manga, animated movies, and animated series.
